Challenge
Visitors approached the website from different angles, some starting with the bike, others with the route or hotel. The existing booking flow was linear and offered little flexibility to switch steps without losing context or overview.
Approach
We started with the booking flow and redesigned it as a modular system, allowing visitors to enter from different starting points. The website was subsequently redesigned and developed around this logic, acting as a supportive framework for the flow.
Activities
Booking flow analysis, modular flow restructuring, UX redesign, design reviews, stakeholder alignment, web design, sitemap & information architecture, SEO alignment, development coordination, handoff.
Summary
Rompelberg organizes fully supported cycling holidays in Mallorca. Travelers enter the journey with different preferences, some begin with selecting a bike, others focus on routes or accommodation. The existing booking structure did not adequately reflect this behavior.
We designed a modular booking flow with interchangeable steps and multiple entry points, in collaboration with 1tis for technical implementation and integrations. Following this, Rompelberg asked us to design and develop the full website, including SEO, aligned with the new booking logic.

Our approach
Kickoff
We mapped the complete offering, content types and the role of the website within the booking journey. Recurring page structures were defined, ensuring all components would work together as one coherent system.
Web design & hierarchy
All pages were designed with clear hierarchy and user flow. From the homepage to route and service pages, the structure supports exploration, comparison and smooth progression toward booking, without overwhelming the visitor.
Development collaboration
Together with our development partner, we translated the design into reusable components and structured documentation. Throughout the build phase, we remained involved through reviews and alignment sessions to safeguard design decisions and ensure the final website reflected the original intent.

Results and Impact
Visitors can now enter the journey based on their own preference and adjust choices without losing orientation. The booking experience feels more flexible and better aligned with real exploration behavior. The redesigned website supports this process and provides context before booking.

The collaboration with Hakim from Bonjourney was smooth and constructive. He translates ideas into clear concepts and actively contributes, both creatively and strategically. Communication was open and efficient, which made it feel like a true partnership. The result matches our ambition: a fresh, future-proof website where different types of cyclists easily find their way, with content and atmosphere tailored to them. We are proud of the outcome, a site that not only looks right but truly works for our customers.
